Kindergarten – Mrs. Russo

Home / Kindergarten – Mrs. Russo

Dear Parents,

My name is Ms. Kernizan, I am the Educational Technology Coordinator for Sacred Heart Catholic Academy, working alongside Mr. Wong.

As our government leaders and leading health officials continue to outline safety measures during this time, Sacred Heart Catholic Academy is continuing to monitor school closings and will remain dedicated to providing our school families with quality education, to the best of our ability.

Earlier this school year, we announced that our school would be transferring to Google Classroom, a platform that will allow teachers to upload class/homework and resources, share important updates and reminders, and communicate with parents.

As of today, March 16, 2020, we have added each student to their corresponding Class Page via Google Classroom. Each parent should have received an invitation to each class page their child(ren) belong to. If you have multiple children attending the school, please accept EACH invitation, as these pages are completely private and you will only be able to access the pages you have been invited to.

Once you have joined the page, please READ THE GOOGLE CLASSROOM GUIDELINES AND RESOURCES, which can be found under the Classwork tab.

If you do not have access to the page, your child will not be able to complete the attendance activity and homework assignments. In the next few days, our teachers will begin populating the pages with assignments, quizzes, resources and updates. Through these pages, you will be able to communicate with the teachers, and with each other. You will also be able to keep track of your child’s progress, submitted work and grades.

As this is a learning process for us all, I ask that you please be patient with our faculty as we navigate this new system. If you do not receive invitations to any or all of your relevant class pages, please contact me ASAP. If you have any questions, issues or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me, personally. My email address is delfine@shcach.org.

In the Superkids program this week, we will continue learning to read and write the letter O, as in octopus. We will be following Oswald as he creates his own odd animals. Students will create their own odd animal along with Oswald and give it an odd name.
